LD Smoke on acceleration

Whenever I accelerate from a stop in my LD Maxima, a giant cloud of smoke flys out of my exhaust. Air filter and fuel filter are new, and I cleaned out the intake grunge. I am do for a valve adjustment (taking care of it next week), but still kind of stumped.

I heard these IPs have an internal vein lift pump that stops working resulting in no injection timing advance. Is it possible to use an external electric lift pump to solve this?

Your lift pump is OK, otherwise your engine would not start or die soon after. Most likely you have leaky/worn injectors.

Is there any way to service them? All parts seem to be NLA for years now…

Try to locate Bosch Diesel Service in your area. Otherwise contact these guys: https://dieselcare.store/
A few years ago, they quoted me $60.00 a pop, to rebuild the injectors, incl. new nozzles.
Also, I would use fuel additive to lubricate and clean the IP and injectors. Search this forum for EGR delete. It might help with smoking.
