WTB Diesel Filler Neck

An annoying thing after converting my truck to the SD22 is that I learn that diesel fuel guns have a larger diameter pipe than gasoline fuel guns. It takes forever to fill it up with the gas neck since I have to let it trickle in, if not it will spill out everywhere. So, if you have access to a diesel fuel filler neck, I will gladly buy it from you. I can't use the apparatus off the truck where I took the SD22 from b/c all that was there was a PVC pipe and a spray paint cap under the fuel lid!

I have three of them. But I don't think that they're larger diameter than the gasser fill neck.

If there's anyway you can check to see if it would work with the larger diesel nozzles, I would surely appreciate it. If I can't find a better fill neck, I'll just find metal or plastic pipe that tapers just enough to work. An old gas can fill pipe would probably do the trick...the end of a larger sized funnel may work better for the gas can's sake.

I can't see why it wouldn't work. I measured one of mine, it's 1-7/8" OD and there's no restriction inside.

The (cadmium?) plating on the inside is about half there, the rest is rust, but it's solid and usable. If you think this will be better than what you have, you can have one for the cost of shipping. PM me your address.

That would definitely work better than mine. I took a look at the flapper assembly inside my filler neck and it is spot welded in place at three different spots. If you send me yours I'll send mine back to you.

You could possibly break loose that restrictor plate and remove it. I know folks who wanted to run the old Leaded gasoline who did that.

I sent the filler tube off to be mailed just now, you will see it next week. I'll let you know what the shipping was when I know.

I do not want your old filler neck. I don't collect much in the way of gasser parts.
