anyone help i have 86 navara d21 dual cab 4x4 with sd 25 motor will any other nissan diesel motor bolt up to the gearbox sd 25 very hard to come by here in australia

I don't think that any other engine uses the SD bolt pattern. However, you may be able to replace the front half of the transmission case (the housing), and be able to bolt up a Z2x petrol engine.

It's common to do the reverse of this (ie use the front half of an SD transmission case to adapt an SD to a petrol transmission/vehicle).

they are around--but a diesel not going to be a $2 item.
ebay rebuild kits a around $1000 so easy double that.
ive stated here that in the older days we thow away a mokey engine and throw in a JAP import--i guess that there not that common.SD engines are comon as comercial engines like fork lifts-but these tend tho be driven untill they are destroyed.

there are 2 utes this week for under $2000.i normally buy a wreck for under a $1000 if its more sell of the tray etc.much cheeper to buy a damaged truck with a running engine,dont have to be a 4x4 if you have the sump and oil pickups.urvans are very cheep.

TD 27 converion is the next thing-you buy a import pathfinder wreck half cut and use the gearbox.
