Im curious what the piston ring end gap should be? I have general specs for most applications, but not diesel.

From the 1982 FSM:

Page EM-35:
Use top and second rings which have no marks when bore grade stamped near cylinder block bore is (1) or (2); use rings with "S" mark when bore grade is (3), (4), or (5).

Page EM-44:
Top (without mark) .0079" - .0114"
Top (with mark) .0055" - .0087"

2nd .0079" - .0138"
Oil (rail ring) .0118" - .0177"
