Getting ready to freshen up the LD28 I bought for my project rover. It runs but the previous owner suggested I remove the head and have it checked and re ring it as it smoked a bit. Ive decided to just rebuild the head. I found the rings on ebay and also found the intake and exhaust valves. I guess I need the valve seats, guides and seals now, but Im not sure what else I might need (other than gaskets which I believe I have lined up). Rockauto has the valve guides, and seals, but Im not sure if they have the right seats. Anyone know if this is just for the exhaust? Its the only seat they list. Seems a bit pricey too.

Valve seats are almost never replaced on alloy heads during a rebuild.
Unless you have a lot of stem wear, you won't need to replace the valves either. The LD28 lubes the head really well. I'll be interested in what you find for stem wear. And guide wear. Measuring guide wear does require specialized equipment, and reaming the new guides (if you elect to replace them) will require a reamer of the correct size. Expensive stuff, if you're only going to rebuild one head. You might farm out some of this measuring etc. to a shop.

Thanks much. I decided to wait on the valve seats until the machine shop has a look at them. The previous owner said it was smoking a bit and recommended taking the head in and doing rings. I just figured I would change the valves and guides while i was at it as well as the seals and whatever else needed attention. The guides and valves together were just over 50 bucks so I figured it was worth doing, might be overkill though, I know. Thanks for the advice!
