Do you know how difficult it is to accomplish? Will this upgrade work on A/C-equipped 720s?

I looked into this before. External measurements and hookups are identical ... so said the rebuilder in Van Nuys. I have factory a/c with the slightly lower output 50 amp version with no problems, but for the slip ring brushes I replaced some miles back.

Have I done it yet? No. But if/when the time comes, I've got a local source.

I know the sheave is different, though probably swappable. I thought that the dia. was larger on the LD28 one. I have a couple of those, but I don't have any of the SD alternators loose at the moment, so I can't do a side-by-side on them.
