Make some real power out of your Z motor with this. Please be sure to check my other auctions for great Z parts. No shipping outside of the U.S. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. Another reason why crank pirates are bad.
Reminds me of another fellow I talked with that was ready to throw everything away besides the crank. I was able to intercept him, but once he realized the "extras" had some value, he wanted top dollar. Refused to let anything go for a reasonable amount.
Selling a Rare 1982 Nissan Maxima Diesel Crankshaft-VO740. This Crankshaft is needed to build the Stroker Engine for the six cylinder Z car. As far as I can tell it is in good condition. Since it is used no warrantee is offered. I prefer paypal as the payment method. I will only ship to Continental USA. Shipping is to be arranged later.
[later: Sold for $260]
Anybody want to contact the Seller to see if any other parts are available?

He responded, rather promptly, and said all other parts are long gone. He didn't say where they'd gone, and I was afraid to ask. I'm telling you, it's a cult. You have to take an oath to scrap all the other parts.

Up for bidding is this Nissan/Datsun 12201-V0790 LD28 crankshaft. This crankshaft was removed from a low mileage (87k) 83' Maxima Diesel, and has not been installed in any other engine. The journals are clean, and all threads (snount and rear) are perfect. This LD28 crankshaft is in excellent condition, don't miss out on this one! The LD28 crankshaft is the foundation of your 3 liter "Stroker" big bore engine build-up for your Z or ZX. . .
This Seller (blax240)sells lots of Nissan parts, and has sold more than a couple of LD28 cranks
I was about to strike a deal with him on some parts, but he never got back to me.
While I don't know for sure, I think he joined here as veggiebowl.

Here's the crank out of the '81 in the Lakewood JY a few weeks ago; I just knew it would end up on eBay. The guy who pulled the crank nearly destroyed the IP by rolling the block around in the engine bay with the IP attached and head off.
You are looking at the infamous stroker crank for the early L series 6 cyl found in your early datsuns. This crank combined with L24 rods, and KA24E pistons will turn your mild Z to a wild 3.1 litre machine! Search the web if you arent aware of the stroke combo.
The crank itself is in good condition. Just normal wear and tear from its ho-hum life in a diesel maxima. The car I pulled it out of had roughly 130k on it, but these motors last forever and are rarely abused. If you would like measurements or anything off the crank, im more than happy to do that. Its been cleaned and is ready for your machinist to have at it.
I also have a set of early L24 rods (not pictured) which will work with the stroker combo, but have the less desireable 8mm rod bolts. A set of ARP bolts and a good balance make these rods totally usable in the stroker combo. They are included in the auction and will be shipped along with the crank.
Shipping will be taken care of by the buyer. This think is heavy (85lbs or so w/rods when crated) Just for a heads up on the weight. I package them carefully in a wooden crate, fully supported and 98% UPS proof (I say 98% because ive seen some terrible UPS handling!!) Local pickup in the seattle WA area is also welcome!
