Bosch IP rebuild kit
Does anybody know if there is an aftermarket injection pump rebuild kit available?

I'm not even aware of a non-aftermarket rebuild kit. Parts, yes. Seal kit, yes. Rebuild kit, no.
The inline IP is a very robust design. The pneumatic governor diaphragm and the primer pump seem to be the weak spots.
I wonder if the internal seals will begin leaking with USLD and BD, and contaminate the lube oil.

Re: rebuild kit
My local mechanic does. Figure $900 for a rebuild of YOUR entire injection. Don't just start guessing.biodatsun wrote:Does anybody know if there is an aftermarket injection pump rebuild kit available?
Ask about your problem. There are LOTS of injection experiment and/or about the fuel pump (combined) here on the "Topics" here!

Thanks for the advice. Al do you happen to have the number for the seal kit? I'm currently not having any issues with either of mine but, just wanted to be prepared for when something does happen. One of my pumps has over 600,000 km's on it and the other is almost at 300,000 km's. But, I would be interested in the seal kit number in case this ULSD starts cause issues of leakage.
Thanks again,
Thanks again,

I'm afraid I don't. I've never had to research the internals of the inline IP. Maybe one of the other SD folks has it.

Edgar replaced my Lift Pump complete for $100. He paid $900 for the entire Injection Pump (included lift pump). Sofar ... I've not needed THAT job!asavage wrote:I'm afraid I don't. I've never had to research the internals of the inline IP. Maybe one of the other SD folks has it.
Now I've only needed the lift pump ($30+70) and pneumatic diaphragm ($30). On eBay I have seen the entire injection pump parts on the Bosch inline. BUT ... just putting in injection parts is not done. Afterward, the whole thing needs be fitted to a diesel machine to adjust everything right. This is NOT like some old carburetor!
