WTB: Flywheel

Buy it, sell it, negotiate, haggle, drag it out from under the workbench or behind the garage and make it someone else's problem!

http://car-part.com lists two specifically for diesel, both at $35 and both on the east coast (shipping!), one for 1981, one for 1982. More are listed as "Call us" (no prices). Surprisingly, several gasser flywheels come up and one for an AT, even though I specified "MT - Diesel" on the search criteria.

None closer than 2000 miles from 97210.

I contacted all of the dealers which listed these flywheels. None of them were in stock. I guess they do not update the inventory database. I will have no choice but buy a new one from nismoparts.
BTW Al, I think you got my engine that I stupidly sold a few years ago in Portland. This is the one with the flywheel and clutch. Did you get the 5-speed too? I had to move the engine ASAP and had no place to go. So I sold it.

That sucks.

If it was at your parents' house in Tualitin/King City area, if you had a rare Fiat van in his back yard, and if you loaded it into my trailer via a tractor, then yes, I bought it from you. You loaded it into this trailer:

If so . . . it isn't an '83 engine as you represented it, it's an '82! And here I've been waiting all this time to tell you!

I'm not upset, I'm just making fun. I never turned it over, and it's still on a dolly in storage. The price and timing were right.

No, I didn't get the 5-spd. I don't think that you had it by the time I arranged to pick up the engine in April. I was down that way for the Annual Portland Auto Swap Meet that I attend pretty much every year up at the Expo Center in Portland.
Regards,
Al S.

Al, probably you bought the engine from the guy I sold to. He got the engine, a 5-speed and a 4-speed tranny. He wanted to install it in an 240SX or 280SX.
