I already emailed Lacolocho. I do appreciate the suggestion, but I'm not going to ask somebody to make a trip that I have doubts about myself. If I try this it will be with tools, parts, and service manual at my disposal. Also, my wife has never been out there so the trip itself is part of what I want. That said, I realize it could be a sucky trip if something major were to crap out on the road.

The car sold yesterday. I'm surprised it took as long as it did. I asked the seller to let the buyer know about this site. If I had bought the car, there would have been a rust free diesel Maxima automatic show up in northern Alabama a week after I got home. You know, sour grapes and all that.
