Buy it, sell it, negotiate, haggle, drag it out from under the workbench or behind the garage and make it someone else's problem!

Here is a 1980 IH Scout Nissan 6 cyl Turbo diesel on ebay:

This Engine was originally built for Chrysler by Nissan. This could be used for automotive or industrial. It is a 6 cylinder turbo charged diesel. This engine runs perfectly. It uses no oil and very fuel efficient. It has 4 speed new process transmission on it. It is a model SD331E

Although the SD33T (turbo) was offered in the IH line in 1980 only, it was apparently available in other applications in other years. I wouldn't assume that this one's a 1980 -- the seller doesn't state that, and the model he states is unknown to me.

Might be an aviation tug powerplant, that's my first guess (2wd + manual trans). Lots of them are coming up on eBay in the last year, none for under $2k and several at around $4500. All of these truncated jeep things are SD33-powered, at least the ones I've seen.

Well, it is a Chrysler/Nissan CN633 yellow engine with a retrofit turbo kit on it.

These engines were available on the Scout from about 1976-'79 , on 1980 they went with the turbo version SD33T (Blue) engine.

The CN633's were mostly used for generators, air pumps, tree shredders etc.

The marine version was a little more powerful due to a different pump setting.

Hope this helps.
