Mitsubishi 6DS7 655 with Motor Home Attached!

Buy it, sell it, negotiate, haggle, drag it out from under the workbench or behind the garage and make it someone else's problem!

Mitsubishi 6DS7 655 with Motor Home Attached!

Post by plenzen »

For Sale:
1979 Edson Motor Home with “Polar” option (more insulation and double pane windows) . Is on Dodge 1 ton chassis. Originally had 440 c.i.d gasser with Dodge C?? (3?) auto. This is my dad’s motor home and he has had it since 1980. It had 3000 Mi when he got it. He removed the gasser and trans and transplanted a Mitsubishi 6DS7 655 Diesel. (133 H.P @ 3300 Natural). He installed an A/R turbo and opened the fuel up to 155 H.P @ 12-13 p.s.i. He fit a 6 spd M/T (Hino) and it has a pretty fresh Dodge (Dana TK???) diff with 410’s. 500 to 600 RPM between shifts. 2400 RPM @60 M.P.H. in 6th. Has new battery (RV Side). Inverter and all accessories work (3way fridge etc). Has S/P switch for 24 V start and 2 alternators. 1 Alt for vehicle and accessories and one for RV accessories. No AC Generator. Vehicle is mobile however is not presently licensed. Vehicle is presently in Vancouver B.C. Canada. Tires are all good, as are brakes. Installed pistons and liners approx 50,000 Mi ago. (89,000 Miles on chassis) Dad is 85 this year and although still goes to work everyday building generator sets, his days of rolling down the road on long voyages are behind him,,, so he says. The vehicle has been started and driven short distances to warm up etc. for past number of years but has really not gone anywhere more than 10 to 15 miles at a time. New drive shaft from trans to S/B. Asking $6000.00 Ca. O.B.O. There are also some spares to go with this.
If interested contact me through PM and I will try and field any questions that may arise.

Bump

Still has the motor home and it does run. He's 90 now and looking to get it out of his back yard.

Very motivated to move it.

Motor/Trans/Diff all good.

...Love to see a picture or two of this thing....
The old 'six gun' was as popular as the cell phone in its time and just as annoying when it went off in the Theater.

Next time I'm on the coast I will take a few.

It would be best suited as a "donor vehicle" for the motor/trans/diff. Been sitting for a few years.
