IP pump

Thanks for the info, really appreciate it. Totally new to the diesel scene so sorry if my post seem to be rudimentary. In that regard I forgot a couple other things, does this engine need an aux fuel pump near the tank or will the IP pull fuel ok? Also on the low pressure fuel lines is typical gasoline fuel hose ok or will diesel attack the rubber?

In general VE injection pumps will draw fuel all the way from the tank using their internal vane pump. The LD20T II could be an exception though for all I know. Maybe Davehoos will weigh in on this.

Ordinary fuel hose works fine with petro diesel in my experience. High concentrations of BioD will require better hose (Viton), but, other than that, I wouldn't give it a second thought.

If you put some more info in your signature (LD20T II), it will cut down on confusion in the future.

910 bluebird with LD20T had an electric pump.but the rest have normal VE pumps with internal lift pump.

my cars have refused to pump fuel from the original tanks on slight hills, so i normally fit a sediment filter electric pump with a return pipe as a surge tank.
