Basically every stroker L series Z car built means one less LD on the road for lack of a crank, so the ever increasing amount of those is the reason for the low pace here

I think LD28 attrition is more complex than that -- the Bluebird/910/Maxima is getting to be a pretty old car now, and many of them are leaving the road for reasons other than crank pirates.

I loaned my '82 Wagon to a friend for four weeks recently, but other than that, it hasn't been driven 3k miles in the last five years. I just don't use it anymore. This time of year, it's nice that that A/C works though -- I miss that in my Sentra diesel.
