Fs5w71b Questions from Argentine

Hello to friends , one year ago repair my box (fs5w71b) but returned to break the spiral of the 5th speed, my truck is too much for her.

Two questions can be changed by the combination of the 5th gear speed?
I now have 39/21 and 44/26 for exchange
will be supported?

Any other model of gearbox can adapt it to my Ld 28

If you would, do some reading in these threads and post questions there. Oh, and welcome to the group. LD28 transplants are of particular interest to me since my engines will easily outlast the cars they currently reside in.

Thanks for your patience in My FS5W71B is in good condition but is a little weak for my truck ( change the oil every 2 years and Inspect drain stopper)
FS5W71C Is the strongest?.

I disarmament my gearbox for the FS5W71C manual and I found the same.

The only problem of mi gearbox is 5th my relationship is 0773 / 1 and I change it to 0864/1 . In Argentina the 5th gear with 45 teeth and change the teeth I have now (38 teeth).

I will try and hope that it will not break again.

gears are replaced as a matched set from most 71 mm gear boxes.

a truck type gear box is used in the old nissan patrol,civilian busses and cabstar trucks with L28.the gear box is common to other engines with different length imput shafts.gearsticks come out in different spots of the gear box and also remote cables.finding a L28 bell housing is hard.
