Yup, F350 diesel that doesn't have a 6.9l/7.3l IH V8 in it. It's an SD33T from an '80 Scout, mated to what looks like a Ford ZF 5-spd.

He took a 1987 Ford E350 ambulance and repowered it with a 6 cyl turbo diesel out of a Scout. He made an adapter and installed a 5 speed standard transmission. He used it to commute from Boston to New Bedford for work. He worked as a mechanic on a diesel powered fishing boat, where he could get fuel for free. He would run diesel in one tank and a mix of diesel and 30% used engine oil in the other tanks. This would be a good bio-diesel conversion. I bought it from him years ago after he opened up his own truck garage. I had great ambitions for it, but as you can see from the pics, it still sits out in the woods. When I last drove it, the brakes were sticking, the clutch was good, and the motor ran great. It seemed like it would be better with lower gears in the rear end, but some of that might have been the sticky brakes. It has a neat side door on the drivers side and stand up room. I can help load it on a truck or trailer. If you give it some love it could probably be driven home. It would need to be put up on all fours, a new battery, and fixed brakes. This vehicle has no title. If you live in a title state, you need a previous registration - I can get one for an additional $100. This van is sold "AS IS" with no warranty.
