would of gotten it, its a nice piece but it has a piece of brass trim missing from the datsun logo, so its just about the same as mine

It's a good price for one that isn't corroded. They don't seem to weather all that well, though the '83-84 ones hold up better than our '81-82 style. I bought an early one brand-new from the dealer in 1998 (about $67, IIRC) and it's already corroded, and we have no salt!

Mine actually had a very light coating of corrosion, little black specs. I polished mine up and it buffed out.


I wax mine at the same time that I wax my car, to prevent the pitting and corriosion. Im pretty sure this has something to do with how fast it corrodes, I never waxed the door handles ever and they did not hold up to the corrosion at all, they are pitted to a point where theres small craters in them. Must act like a layer of protection or something, well thats what wax is supposed to do.
