CL Search Tool / Has Anyone Else Ever Used This?

Buy it, sell it, negotiate, haggle, drag it out from under the workbench or behind the garage and make it someone else's problem!

ZIMKIV

Nationwide search tool for Craigslist. Really helpful to search nationwide for - what else - Datsun Diesels!

CL has repeatedly shut down this type of thing. CL wants to stay local. I kind of agree, for selling. For buying, I'd like a tool like this.

[later]

And it appears that non-stds-compliant code is being used: I can't enter anything into the Search field, and a ten-second look at the page's source code reveals use of the <layer> attribute (non-compliant extention) and it's being served by IIS and using asp.net framework.

Blech. If it worked with a standards-compliant user agent ("browser"), I'd try to use it. But if it requires Internet Exploder, forget it: I don't need it that badly.

Al S.

I know CL blocks you from posting the same ad in multiple locations. This was designed for buyers. Esp. for these rare cars, it's nice to be able to search nationwide and see what's out there.

Hmmm. I'm able to use it with no problem. Searched with it several times today with Firefox 5.0 and Mac OS X 10.4.8.

Firefox: you probably meant 2.0 .

I run an older build of Mozilla, and I think Quirks Mode is off.

Really, there's no reason for this bullshit: there are several HTML/javascript/css validators available free. It is not that difficult to write clean code, only eschew bad tools (like ASP).

Firefox has grown to be a decent product; but I prefer Mozilla's UI.

Sorry if it sounded like I went off on you -- my angst is directed at web page composers that don't use composition tools that stick to standards. Being as I don't run IE anywhere, stds compliance is important to me.

1982 Datsun Diesel Pickup.....A Workhorse!!!!!!! - $1450

Great Little Diesel Pickup!! This is a very dependable little pickup that I have owned since it was new. It is very economical to drive, getting about 38 miles or so to a gallon. Cosmetically, the pickup is not going to win any beauty contests but she has been very reliable for me. If you keep up on the oil changes as I have this truck might go on forever. A great work truck!...Email me for an appointment to look at truck. Thanks. Rich

Whoops. It just quit!

Here's what I got by searching for "diesel maxima".

Results:
The following Error Occurred:The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.

For best results, please restart the browser and try again.

But by closing the tab, and re clicking the link posted by 83_Maxima, it seems to work fine again.

At the bottom of the page they have a feedback button. Perhaps they would appreciate some constructive criticism.

Yeah, like dump IIS!

Seriously, why would anybody run a webserver other than Apache?

I am not a fan of Micro$oft. As if you couldn't guess.
