Where do you find one of these? My dealers says no can do & our local wrecking yard doesn't go back that far!

Anybody have an extra they would sell?

Thanks,
Lonnie

It's two pieces. I think I've only ever seen one.

OK,
So what do you do to get your spare down? Or do you just never have a flat tire? :-)

Um . . . I don't "own" a 720 right now. The '82 720 KC I sold for $2k two-plus years ago, it did have that tool. The subsequent three 720s I've had (all very briefly) did not.

[later]

A couple of specialized searches just now at eBay didn't turn up any either. Could be tough.

I think I'd make one. Some roundbar, two different sizes, and something to crank it with.

I miss my '71 510 Wagon jack set. So nice.

Hmmm . . . I wonder if the Maxima Wagon tool would work on the 720. I'll have to get mine out and try it. The Gen1 Maxima uses a roughly similar setup as the 720.

Al S.

Good reason not to have one!

I would think it would be easy enough to make the tool. Yea, that reminds me, guess I need to get some kind of jack too...

Of course  my truck has the crank rod, the little crank handle, and the jack. One long rod with square drive on one end and a T cross pin on the other end. Doubles as the jack crank. Should I post a photo soon?

BTW, the jack is stored in a recess behind the driver's seat.

And dimensions.

Isn't the "square" end actually tapered (as in pyramidical)? It was on the 510's.

Mine has a straight, square section. Well, it's kinda beat up, so almost straight (with no taper).

There's a KC 4WD at a local JY. I can check to see if the tools are there but the probability is pretty low. We've just gotten ~5" of snow so it might be a few days and I have to go in for jury duty tomorrow

Steve,
Based on Philip's pictures I think I can make one pretty fast, cheep & easy. (The same as I like my women!) Thanks for the offer anyway!

Thanks for the pictures Philip! Do you know about how much the dia. of the bar is?
