My box sucks!

Buy it, sell it, negotiate, haggle, drag it out from under the workbench or behind the garage and make it someone else's problem!

Newbie to the site... Just got a 1982 KingCab w/the Diesel. Getting it back into shape. the ususal, brakes, idler arm, center hanger bearing...What is the best way to 'fix' the box? Aftermarket sheet metal, Ariziona rust -free used, a take-off off a later model...
Thanks !!!
Bill

I've heard that you can buy a complete replacement bed, but for the money, you may as well buy a whole dead Southwest truck and have it shipped!

The 720 beds rust pretty well up here in the PNW too, right along the horizontal seam where the floor of the bed meets the bed "skirts".

For popular trucks, you can buy bed "sides", but I've not heard of one for the 720. Yeah, maybe a road trip to the SW is in your future!
