Would you help me identificating this Nissan diesel?

SD diesels were widely available in the US in the 1981-86 Datsun/Nissan 720 pickups, and in Canada through '87 in the D21 pickup.

The engine is NOT a Nissan SD series nor is it a Nissan TD series. Somewhere in the side of the block will be a clue stamped.

Taking a wild guess, it might be an Isuzu C201, as shown in this thread.

C201 has injection lines on the "passenger" side while "drolando" boat diesel has injection lines on the "driver" side. Valve cover is not flat while C201 is flat. C201 has both intake and exhaust on "driver" side, while "drorlando" boat diesel is intake only on "driver" side.

I've tried to see some numbers...

Hi, Guys, thank you very much for your efforts helping me.

I tried to look the model number but was impossible, because I think that the numbers are covered by the exhaust system.

The exhaust system consist in a home-made very big metal plate next to the block.

The valve cover has in the middle the cup with the inscription "Nissan" and something in chinese or corean. Perhaps this cap cames from a Nissan motor BUT the motor could not be Nissan?

We don't see the variety of Nissan diesel engines in the US, that are often seen in the rest of the world.

I can't think of a Nissan diesel that has the injection lines (and, presumably) the injection pump) on the left side of the engine, and a pushrod head.

I think that you found your engine: ED33.

Pity I can't find a better picture of one.
