Site is very slow

I am having a lot of issues with this site being slow, it sometimes takes a minute or more for the site to do anything once I have clicked on a thread, or when I have submitted a post.
I have closed the window and re-opened it to have it take forever to load a page.

Is this normal for here?

This new forum software, with the image inline enhancements, is quite a bit more piggy than the old. I've noticed some abnormally slow load times too.

I recycle the httpd and mysqld every night, which helped. I will look some more into this tonight.
