Box swap

Hello, I've been sitting in the bushes getting all kinds of great information off of this site. I check it two to three times a day. I have come across something that I haven't found any information on yet. Does anyone here know if a Mazda box will fit onto an 84-86 kingcab 2wd and if so what years would fit the best? It's getting a little hard to find decent boxes these days.

I would have thought that somebody in this forum might have some knowledge on this as it seems almost everything else has been tried.

While I hesitate to send you somewhere else, your Q is not about the diesel-specific portion of the truck, and you may benefit from asking this Q in a wider forum, such as NorthWest Datsun Enthusiats', Trucks forum, or (ugh) the crumbling MSN 720 forum. While the volume and quality of diesel information at those places isn't up to what we expect here, there are a lot of non-diesel 720 owners in those other places that may have an answer for you.

Having fiddled with my bed a little 8) I'd say get out the tape. If the axle to the back of the cab mesurement is the same you can reweld all the mounting pads wherever you want. Can't speak for the aesthetics but beds are pretty forgiving.

PS Beds are plentiful here. It's the tailgates that are gold.
