Here we go:

This worked!!! I followed instructions to the letter above. Had a bit of fun at first because I was on a VPN, so the setup wizard wasn't picking up the NAS, so I ended up flashing/resetting it a few times trying to get it to work. Luckily, no harm no foul, turned it off and it instantly showed up. The second part was getting the browser page access to work since it kept taking me to a connection timed out page, but that's because I used Static IP instead of DHCP. Switched it and it instantly became functional when connecting directly.

Now to start figuring out what I want to do with it! I have a couple drives that are on the lower end (1 & 3TB respectively) that I'm not sure are good, but I'm going to give them a whirl. My goal is to make this into a streaming/backup solution for my media and files. I'm hoping to set up a couple of high capacity drives, probably refurbs, then set them up in RAID 0 or RAID 0+1 once I can.

I won't make more any more posts on this thread unless they pertain to the N4100Pro specifically, but thank you again, Asavage, for helping me out with access!

Hey G3len,

If you browse to the second page of this thread to post #23, there are some very detailed instructions by @asavage that have everything. I'll put a list together here of the steps to download, but PLEASE, go and look at the post for more detail on what these do and how to use them.

1. Look up and then download Filezilla Client (it's an org website if you look up the program) and install. Once installed, open Filezilla.
2. In the "Host" box in the top left, copy the alternate link from his post (ftp...) and paste, minus the filename (so up to here: ...N4100Pro/, delete this part of the link: X32_usb_upgrade_1.0.9.2.zip)
- If connected properly, it will show up on the right.
3. On the left (your PC), navigate to where you want the file to go.
4. On the right, double click on X32_usb_upgrade_1.0.9.2.zip. This will initiate a transfer/download to your folder. You can track progress on the bottom tab (Queued Files, Failed Transfers, Successful Transfers). Be patient and do not interrupt the download. If it fails, just try again. Mine took two tries.
5. Download N4100Pro_FW_5.03.02.zip next. This is the last firmware update from Thecus if you want to update it or if you've wiped the firmware and need to reinstall the latest firmware.
6. Follow the rest of the instructions on that post from Asavage for what to do.

It's also a good idea to have the setup-wizard from Thecus, but I'm assuming you already have that (I found it through Thecus' website, just couldn't find the password, hence this thread haha).

AGAIN, please go and read the post. Asavage did a wonderful job documenting what each file does and how it is used. :)
