Server moving 63 miles

I have taken a new job, and am moving east. I will be moving the servers etc, probably today. Then I have to configure new broadband to work with the server services. The site will likely be down all day Sunday, 20Jun, and possibly longer.

Well, that was a lot more trouble than I'd thought.

Server disconnected and physically moved Sunday, 20Jun.

After a lot of trouble with the broadband hardware at the new locations, I bought a newer, $185 DSL router and all the broadband problems magically disappeared in one hour.

Then there was SCSI HDD problems. I wasn't worried too much, as all is backed up, but it was four nights of grief to get to this point, and I really do have more moving and unpacking to do, so it was stressful.

Hopefully, other than a few outages here and there as I move the UPSs and server wiring around, we should be up for the foreseeable future.

Glad you made it.. Was kinda wondering - missed you initialpost and I've seen a couple other sites just disappear overnight. Didn't seem your style, though. <g>
