I made contact with Marco Rubber on Thursday or Friday. They were unable to quote a price at that time and are supposed to get back to me when their supplier lets them know something. I'm expecting to hear something Monday or Tuesday. I'll post back when I know more...

Delivery isn't firm yet, but it is looking like 12 to 14 weeks. The supply chain is empty and the manufacturer will have to make some. No word on pricing or minimums yet...

First of all, please don't kill the messenger. This is going in the wrong direction to say the least.
In trying to firm up a delivery date, Marco and their supplier pulled their original paperwork and discovered that the original order of seals were Nitrile and not Viton. I pointed out that the quote and sales order both stated Viton. They were apologetic for what that is worth. I asked about Nitrile's compatibility with biodiesel. Biodiesel is not mentioned in their info, but diesel is listed as compatible.
Viton is not available from them in this size. They are going to investigate the availability of a substitute width of 6 or 8mm instead of the correct 7mm.
Don't know what to say folks. If anybody who participated in the original order doesn't want their seals anymore, I'll buy them back. That is about the best I can do. I can tell you that I installed one of these seals. So far, so good, but I have not gone over 50% bio, nor have I run more than a few hundred miles on the car since the replacement.
FWIW, the Nitrile seals are available with a short lead time and about a 25% price increase.

Nitrile is compatible with diesel, but is not compatible with biodiesel, period. AFAIK, there is no variant of Nitrile that is compatible with BD.I asked about Nitrile's compatibility with biodiesel. Biodiesel is not mentioned in their info, but diesel is listed as compatible.

I agree. If they can offer a Viton seal, I'l request a credit toward the new order. In the wake of this fiasco, I'm looking at another vendor. Marco is not out, but they are sinking fast. I need a better idea as to quantity. If I can get a correctly dimensioned seal, in a double lip configuration, made of Viton for approximately $12, how many should I order? These will be special ordered and imported. I am thinking something like 20 pieces. I want 6 or so myself.

I was off on the pricing. These seals are going to cost me right at $15 each for 20 of them. I'll want just a little more than that to cover shipping. I am trying to get some satisfaction out of Marco for the original Nitrile seals. That negotiation got somewhat heated earlier today, but I hope I can get a credit out of them toward Viton. The catch is that they have to come up with a source for Viton first.

I received the 20 seals from the new vendor today. They are brown in color and represented as Viton by the vendor. The brand is KOK. They are pregreased on the ID, but I don't see that as a problem. They look real nice. I am going to sell them at $16 each, shipped by US Mail. If you want seals, either post to this thread with your address or PM it to me if you prefer. A check or Paypal will be fine for payment. I'll PM my email to anyone wanting to go that route.
I also heard from Marco (the original vendor) today. They can now provide a Viton seal in the correct size and will give full credit on the original order. I will pass this on to all who participated in the original order. The original seals were sold at $9 each, shipped. I will apply whatever you spent on the incorrect seals to a new order for the Viton.

The Brown seals are represented as Viton and I believe they are. I'm just reluctant to proclaim it too loudly since the first batch of Black seals from a different vendor were also supposed to be Viton, but turned out to be Nitrile. Brown is typically associated with Viton, but color proves little.

Al, I don't want to be the "stocking distributor" - but I am willing to be. You put so much into this community anyway that I feel like I should do this. IIRC , you bought 4 seals in the original order and have a $36 credit toward the Viton.
I ordered ten seals from Marco today. This wiped out the credit (and then some) before the offer expired. This means, assuming this batch is correct, I will wind up with 30 seals total.
I can't prove it, but I would bet money that my new vendor is also supplying Marco. The seals were not available from Marco until I ordered from the new vendor. A day or so after the seals arrived at the new vendor, Marco could suddenly provide them too. If Marco sends me the same brand, I'll be convinced.
It has been a fiasco, but the entire group should have all the seals they need for the foreseeable future.

Now I have a question is this just one seal for the injection pump on the LD28 engines being bought in many numbers or all the seals required to totally seal up the injection pump? If it's the latter of the two I'd like to outright buy them to eventually replace all the old factory seals in the injection pump on my car. I just needed this clarification for sure. Thanks for any help.
