Stopped by that JY this afternoon, took a look at the grille and tailights. Grill is 9/10, just because the mylar has peeled off abt. 1/2 in. on a couple of the slats between the NISSAN badge and the end. Still want it?83_maxima wrote:If the grille is in perfect condition and the tailights (assuming this is a sedan) are near new in appearance - and nobody else wants them - and somebody happens to be going back, I wouldn't mind having them.
Let me know, get me a quote...
The tailights are also 9/10, owing to a minor crack that goes up maybe 1 inch from the bottom center of the flat part, also minor dents same area in the metal surrounds. Other than that, very smooth and shiny, no scratches. Actually the cracks and small (1/2") dents are not that noticeable; hence Al's proclimation of "Perfect." Still want them?
I can run back for them. Just that the elements were working against me this time. See it started pouring down rain and hail and this particular JY is a mud swamp already-- my shoes were sucking up the oily muddy water from the bottom and the hail was blowing down my collar from the top and my hands in the middle couldn't even hold on to the screwdriver. I'll have to return another day-- with waders and raincoat if need be. Oh and a waterproof toolbox as well. I was navigating a semi-passable "pond" that was absolutely between the cars and the office (no way around it) when the wheelbarrow tire got suctioned into a quicksand section and toppled over, throwing my canvas toolbag over the gunnel into the sea. Saia do mar marinheiro. Well it was getting near time to wash it anyway.
