Hello,
I am looking for a LD28 for:
a glow control unit
glow plug relay 1 and glow plug relay 2
dropping resistor
and corresponding wiring harness.
Maybe also glow plugs and glow plugs bus bar.
Also for the 2 oil connection from the vacuum pump on the alternator to the engine
PS: Bear in mind that I live in Belgium, package should be too big except for the bus bar.
Somebody offered me a glow plug control unit for a LD20. Can I use it?

The oil connections are no longer available from Nissan - at least not here. The return line is 12mm inner diameter. The pressure line could probably be repaired with new hose installed on the existing fittings. That is the approach I intend to try. Because of their age and rarity, it will be hard to find used oil lines which would be worth shipping to Belgium in my opinion.

I have a used, leaking oil pressure line to the alternator:Pascal wrote:I am looking for a LD28 for:

I was saving it in order to re-use the banjo fitting ends to have a new one fabricated as a spare, should the need arise. Because banjo fittings are common, a hose fabricator might be able to use new ones, given the dimensions of the old one. Or I could be persuaded to part with it, if you don't want to start from scratch. I do not have a known-non-leaking pressure hose that is not already in use.
On the vacuum pump drain hose, it is very unlikely that a good one can be found that will survive removal and installation. They become very brittle over the years. I suggest that you try to use bulk oil line instead.
You also might try to have your local Nissan dealer try to obtain the hoses. Part Nos. are in this post. They may be available in your country's distribution network.
Probably not.Somebody offered me a glow plug control unit for a LD20. Can I use it?
I might have a Maxima GP controller. If I do, it will be expensive, I'm afraid.
For the GP bus bar, contact member glenlloyd after reading this post. The cost is quite reasonable, aside from carriage costs.
You can use any of several relays for these, you are not limited to Nissan's offerings. eBay occasionally has them.glow plug relay 1 and glow plug relay 2
For these, a donor car will be required. One possibility that springs to mind is an '81 Maxima Sedan that member RoadOrphan is parting out (see this thread. It's likely that he can supply the harness, relays, and resistors. Be warned that the harness is not going to be an easy item, because the GP control wiring runs to the inside driver's door kick panel in 1981 (runs to under front passenger seat in '82-83). So the wiring harness will include wires that have nothing to do with the GP system. You will need a wiring diagram to be able to sort out which wires need to be retained. Expect to pay a bit more to have someone pull that harness in a way that it can be reused for your purpose.dropping resistor
and corresponding wiring harness.
Overall, a doorbell button (momentary contact) looks very inexpensive, compared to fitting a modified OEM Maxima system.
You might also consider using an aftermarket GP controller, because as several of us have found, the Nissan one has a "dead zone" where it will not activate the GPs when the engine is not cold and not hot, making warm starts difficult. For more info, read this post. An aftermarket GP controller may be significantly less expensive than an OEM one.
Glow plugs are best purchased new. Cross-reference information is in this post.
