bcdivad, could you check on this?
If the driveshaft is good (check all three joints for free operation, no "notchiness"), see what he wants for it -- must be for a Wagon, I can't use a Sedan driveshaft, but Gasser & Diesel driveshafts are interchangeable from mid-82 through '84.
Shipping: I can't remember if the center brg support bracket can be easily removed, but if it can, I want the driveshaft shipped inside a carpet core tube. I have a spare (bad) driveshaft and I'll check on that bracket later this morning. [later] The Parts Catalogue shows that it comes of with two bolts/nuts.
The hard part is capping the ends. The way I've done it is to cut appropriate-sized circles of wood that fit inside the ends of the tube, and use wood screws through the outside edge of the tube into the edge of the wood circles. It's some work, and you don't throw the result away -- but mine didn't come back once, so I don't have one anymore.
I suppose I should just build another one and ship it to you. Yeah, that's what I'd do. Anyway, check on the driveshaft for me, eh?
