1981 Maxima injector pump needed

AFAIK, the '81 & '82 have the same injection advance curve, and the '83 possibly is different (due to the change in the EGR system to four-stage).

I have yet another JY '82 IP, in better condition than the '81 I just sold. Because it is a JY-sourced part, I cannot tell what condition it is in other than being complete, so I can't recommend it for a "bolt it on" application, where you need to expect it to work. I don't know why that '82 was in the JY.

It's also possible that the member who purchased the '81 IP last week might be willing to re-sell it to you. PM me if you want me to ask him, and expect to have to pay at least three times what I sold it to him for, due to the shipping cost at the least.

That would be me. Yes, if you specifically need an '81 IP you can have it. I bought it for a spare but I'm driving an '83 so it won't break my heart if you need it more than me.

I had assumed they were all the same but I guess they are year specific for best performance.

In all but advance timing and the arrangement of the external CSD, they are probably interchangeable for all three years. I wouldn't hesitate to bolt on any to any year. But the CSD hoses are different in '83. I suspect, but do not know, that the timing advance is slightly different for the '83 IP.

I would if the timing thing is related in any way to the overdrive trans on the '83 Maxima?
