Spring tensioner injector pump drive belt '82 Datsun 810 Max
I need the tensioner spring for the 1982 Datsun 810 Mazxima Diesel injector pump drive belt tensioner. I don't know the part number of the spring, but the tensioner part number is 16805-V0700, (PULLY ASSY-TEN). If any one has one to sell, I am willing to buy enough of the other injector pump drive parts to make it worth your while to take the spring off and sell it to me. My phone number is 870-440-2094. If I don't answer please leave your name and number and I'll call you back.

Will someone send me a picture and part number of the coiled
Will someone send me a picture and part number and any dimensions of the coiled spring uses to tension the '82 injector pump timing belt tensioner, (16806-V0700), from their 810 Parts Catalogue.

I spent over an hour looking for a picture of this, as I took a complete set of pictures to replace a IP belt back in 2007, but I seem to have only a few pics now of that project
Then, I got to thinking, and I walked out to the garage and found the spring in my Tensioner Rebuild parts box.
It looks like your actual part No. is 16807-V0700

However, I don't know how important the spring is. It's only used to tension the belt until you tighten the adjustment. I feel that you could just shove on the tensioner and tighten the adjustment and it would probably be fine.
I get more worried about the worn tensioner bearing, which is why I invested in rebuilding the tensioner with a better bearing.

Tensioner spring
I just Googled the part number that Al came up with, 16807-V0700, and several came up on the internet, priced around 3-4$. Try that to purchase one. Based on that result, the spring must fit numerous common applications.

I am very surprised to find that you were able to order the tensioner, as unavailability back in 2007 was the reason I tooled up to rebuild them myself, using a much better double-row ball bearing that can be replaced easily in future.
Please let us know if it actually arrives!
