Great find at local junk shop

Discuss (and cuss) the Nissan LD-series OHC Six diesel engine, popularly available in the US in 1981-83 Datsun/Nissan Maxima Sedans & Wagons.

I was milling about yesterday at one of my local junk emporiums and happened upon a Chiltons import wiring diagrams manual for 1978-1983, says it's the Motor / age professional mechanics edition and printed on tabloid sized paper..weighs a ton. Has separate diesel diagrams and import trucks too.

I've been using the library's copy for years; that manual is always non-circulating, but the library has an A-size photocopier, so I just run off copies of the rig I'm working on.

I started doing that in 1982.

Those manuals were very expensive in the day. They had a separate manual (same size) for vacuum diagrams.

Did you buy it?

 I would have been stupid not to for $8 so of course I did. Most of the cars I own and end up working on come from that period and since it was for imports I would have paid $50 for it. The detail is stunning.
