Can I help? There's no way I can get there by Thurs, I'm covering way too much work here, but Saturday AM would work. There's some expense involved (two ferry rides @ $20 ea.) and some fuel, but I can donate my time. But not before Fri. night at the very earliest.
We have other members who live in Seattle who might be persuaded to go look at it for you. Carimbo and redmondjp come to mind. They live a lot closer than I do.
Thanks for the offer, I appreciate it. But I flew out to Chicago Thursday to help my mother organize her estate and probably to repipe her house and replace a few windows. It looks like a month anyway and I'd better try to pay attention to only 2 or 3 things at a time.
Figured maybe somebody else on the list might make a deal out of it if the fellow is motivated; said he was going on vacation and needed cash. I'm still partial to a wagon, but if I were less busy, I'd be tempted to take you up just out of curiosity to see what the he's been lowering the price on for the last month.
By the way, just in case you haven't tried this already, CL ads (after the "diesel" filter) can all be collected by an RSS aggregator. With the three pane window format like a mail reader and all the ads showing together for one state or multiple states, makes it real quick to scan through them once they're set up. Haven't tried it yet, but might be a way to do it with ebay also. Re. ebay, I can recommend "Jbird" bidder if you're into that; it also has a good display layout to let you see many items at once.
