Could someone please identify which specific o-rings or seals I should replace for the distributor head and the top cover? Nissan part number would be really nice. I want to have them in hand before I take the IP out. Thanks.

Called Marco this morning and the price of the Viton IP shaft seal is now at $17.25ea @ qty of 12!!!
Hate to think the cost to replace rest of the rubber hoses/seals....
Compared to Buna at $5.30
From what I've read sofar, Buna is good for up to B20. I am thinking ordering Buna for now and run up to B20 until the price of Vilton drops...

I had given Midnightz the part number from when I ordered them. "Brozalco" is a butchered spelling of the company I work for. I don't remember, but I probably used the company name when I ordered. A lot of places just don't like selling one or two of something to an individual, so I will often include the company name. What is odd about this is the fact that I didn't give Midnightz any of my customer info. The only connection would be the part number. They must have assigned a unique part number when they sold these to me. Referencing that number brings it back to me apparently. Odd. I can look at one and post the info written on it if I haven't already. Maybe we can find another source.

As long as all the seals needed to reseal the LD28 injection pump are for the most part biodiesel resistant and definitely ULSD fuel resistant do put me down for a whole reseal kit. I'm guaranteed a buyer because I plan to have my injection pump fixed from its fuel leak in probably less than 5,000 miles time and also plan on changing the injection pump belt as it's never been changed in the time I've owned it from 170,000 miles to now at 240,000 miles. And basically my main concern is to just be able to drive the car with "no worry" about going to the fuel station to be putting in ULSD fuel that may possibly cause my injection pump to leak. I like the old days just a few years ago where you could just drive to the fuel station, put diesel fuel in your vehicle, and not have to worry about anything. At this current point in diesel fuel's history it's really not easy to do that and if this reseal kit can get me good to go I'm buying it. Thanks and keep us all updated!

Spoke to Donna on the phone and she called back with the prices (probably after checking with her source). I gave her my name, as an individual, and used Matt's part number and she knew the last order was for qty of 12. I wonder what the price would have been if I told her I work for Boeing...

I'll have to call Aaron, the price you were quoted sounds like the one-off price, not the quantity price. And, if so, $18 + shipping is a good price. The overhead involved in generating a box, packing slip, sales rep time, etc. is enormous compared to the cost of the part itself. I'd never ask them to sell me only one part for anything less the twice the quantity price.
Let's keep these folks on our side.

I have one seal available from the original 12 if somebody really wants it. I would also be willing to buy a couple to help meet a minimum order. Al, looking back at your quote, I do see a minimum of 5 for the price so it may just be a mixup on their end about quantities. It is also possible that this seal is odd enough that the original order was an exceptional bargain not to be repeated.

I'm in for a few IP shaft seals if anyone makes an order.
I really don't know enought about the specifics of this seal to try to "free-lance" getting one but am more than happy to go in on a group purchase by a far more knowledgeable LD28 person.
I've been ignoring my IP drip but I'll wanting to do that seal when I replace the belt...and it's due for it.

put me down for three (or more if needed for a minimum order). Then I'll have some spares when I'm finnished for future belt changes.
Maybe everyone should toss out a number they can commit to so our "hero" who orders them has enough to go around without buying way too many and getting stuck with the extras.
It would suck to make an order and come up a couple seals short and then have to "over-order" again.

I think you'll only ever have to change the IP shaft seal once. The OEM ones won't leak on old-style fuel, but will leak on ULSD or BD. Once changed, I expect they will never be changed again.
