I've bought & sold two of that same truck, same year, in the past two years. The SD22 is an odd engine to drive, with a pneumatic governor. It, and the MB 200Ds (and 190D, 180D) are the only diesels I know that use an active throttle body.

Seller mentions transmission noise -- see my disjointed transmission article, with pics of the nasty things that can happen. BTW -- this is the same trans (internally) as the Maxima's.
