Haven't called. Do you want me to take a look at it?goglio704 wrote:I got the same three pictures. The dash is cracked, but the car looks good to me. Ben, have you heard back from the seller?
Yea, if you could, that would be great.83_maxima wrote:Haven't called. Do you want me to take a look at it?goglio704 wrote:I got the same three pictures. The dash is cracked, but the car looks good to me. Ben, have you heard back from the seller?
It took a while for it to shift out of first, then it went into second and it never upshifted again. I do not know much about the 3 speed w/o overdrive, so yes, this may be an issue.asavage wrote:Trans should be in 3rd gear by 16 MPH. Probably a vacuum leak somewhere, but it should be noted and used in negotiations. No way it should be in 2nd over 10 MPH.
It also may have been leaking (either pump or rack) and they disconnected it. That is the reason the PPO of my old '84 gave as to why she removed the belt.asavage wrote:PS belt off is worrisome. Could be the high pressure line is shot, which is unavailable. Or worse.

I actually didn't notice this until I saw the pic of the rear hatch.asavage wrote:Ripples in rear hatch.

It is the button-type from the earlier cars. I thought I saw a picture noting the differences somewhere on the site.asavage wrote:Something looks funky about that A/C switch.
It's an issue. Usually, it's a vacuum system problem.83_maxima wrote:It took a while for it to shift out of first, then it went into second and it never upshifted again. I do not know much about the 3 speed w/o overdrive, so yes, this may be an issue.
Right. The '83-84 is different. From the FAQ: "A/C switch turns instead of being a pushbutton, and now has two modes: Econ and Max. "Econ" moves the turn-on temp for the compressor up a few degrees."asavage wrote:Something looks funky about that A/C switch. It is the button-type from the earlier cars.
