That depends on how much I do with it. Since I own the rebuilt steering rack and inner tie rod end, I have to replace it and then have it aligned. The tires on it are legal and barely any better than that. I have a set of alloy wheels (w/lugs) for it, but I'd have to put new rubber on them, and I don't know if I'm willing to go that far.
The VC gasket is leaking badly, so that's got to be changed (I have the replacement) and adjusting the valves should happen then too.
IP belt + tensioner. Hmmm. I really hate to sell it to someone without replacing those. And the coolant needs changing, so doing those two at the same time makes sense.
I will likely remove the fuel preheater and tank block heater setup, or at least replace the hoses to the tank.
The interiour is fine as-is, and is actually pretty good, with no rips or tears. Just some staining (see the thread linked above) that I didn't try to completely eliminate, but I got most of it out.
Door rattle -- you know what that means: needs crack repair on the driver's door. A/C runs but does not cool (typical). Brakes need a going through, I have new (cheap, eBay) wheel cylinders and master cylinder for it, and I think I have shoes & pads here somewhere too. It stops straight and a lot of rust is on the disks/drums, but pedal effort is high, which is probably seized cylinders or calipers.
But the paint condition and rust make it a real tough call as to how much I want to invest in it, just to try to re-sell it. I mean, it's a good driving car, but in terms of value it may be a better parts car. But I can't take apart driveable cars to part them.
I've got a two-year-old $105 Interstate battery in it, my spare alternator, and a synthetic oil change, plus the clock work for Ben, the Talking Lady ON/OFF modification. Oh, and a Addys GP Bus Bar, Rev. A.
Overdrive is sure nice
I'm probably forgetting things, I haven't looked at Myrna's Wagon in a few months. It just sits here at work, waiting for me to spend some time on it, and there's always something else . . .
Do you deliver?
Sure. I sold
my '63 Falcon Wagon Deluxe to a fellow in Chicago, then drove it out there and flew back. The travel was great (Chicago was terrible).
