Coolant leak
I have coolant leaking from the IP belt cover. My first thought is the obvious one - water pump. Am I ovelooking another likely source?

Looking just now at my '82, I'd say that WP is the most likely. It appears that a leak when stopped would run through an aperture in the top of the IP belt cover.

I agree with both of you, I don't own a diesel but I saw one, and the wp's weep hole is right by there. Do the easy test, run the engine and feel around the weep hole.
And when you replace your WP, GMB is a no-no, seen in this post, for the water pump id go with dealer, or make sure its the same style as the old one, the old one is better. Beck Arnley carries the stock style pump, im running one now and it seems to work well.
